This spotlight PL175 has a 175mm (7") diameter case with an all metal construction. The Powa Beam PL175HID Spotlight With Roof Bracket now comes in HID version due to popular demand. The ever-popular PL175 is still the same as ever but with the HID globe it can produce light that has a 6000k colour temperature. The HID lamp is a system that produces light by putting xenon gas and metal halide salts into the light emitting tube installed inside the HID lamp. The electrons inside the light emitting tube collide with the metal atoms, using 20,000 volts generated from the control system (ballast) to produce light.
It basically has the same reflector, case, bracket and quality handle as the PL175 halogen spotlight however it has a High Intensity Discharge (HID) globe, with the ballast mounted on the back of the case.
The all alloy construction of the spotlight makes it extremely durable and also easy to for the hand to hold for a prolonged period of time. It is lightweight and the ergonomic design of the handle combined with the materials used for construction of the spotlight makes it a popular choice for hunters, farmers or any personnel that require a easy-to-carry bright light.
