The spiralizer can be used to turn long and hard vegetables such as cucumbers, carrots, potatoes, peppers, zucchini, and even ginger into long strands. Chop off the ends of the vegetable and place one end on the blade, then twist it down to slice it into strands. When you're nearing the edge of the vegetable, use the non-slip food holder to hold it in place and continue twisting - that way, your hands won't go near the blade and risk being injured.
