Baader Protective M42 T-Ring for Canon EOS with Clear Filter
Baader Protective T-ring for the Canon EOS is designed to accomodate the 2" cell counted or 2" unmounted Baader filters. It allows Baader filters to be used with a T-ring, providing the largest possible free aperture of 47.3mm (M48 thread), and protecting the camera body from dust and humidity. To allow optimal use of the Protective T-ring, several versions of it are now available with a built-in 50.8mmx3mm or 50.4mmx 3mm Baader filter. The use of 42mm T-thread for the coupling causes a choke-point in the imaging train (typcially 38mm internal diameter), possibly resulting in vignetting in fast systems. High resolution digital image sensors and their protective glass covers are highly vulnerable to dust that can enter the body each time the camera is coupled/uncoupled, or in open systems, particularly if the camera has been modified for full-spectrum use.
